-Wedding Cakes Policy-
-How much notice do you need?
We usually like our couples to book down their event dates with us once they have a set date. That way your interest can be registered with us. But anytime from 3 months to the event is also acceptable.
-Cake toppers and flowers
One of my fortes is sugar flowers- I believe they add to the aesthetics of your wedding cake- (from the Owner). At the same time, we are always willing to decorate your cake with fresh flowers or lay your flowers around the base of the cake at delivery if you want. All flowers need to be provided by your florist. We advise that you please coordinate with your florist to ensure the flowers are available at the time of delivery and make sure to specify they will be placed in a cake.
* All flowers that will be placed in a cake are wrapped with floral tape for food-safety reasons.
-Do you provide consultations/tastings/ cake samples?
We meet with clients for tastings by appointment only. Please call to set up your consultation appointment. There is a $50 fee (50% of it is applied to your final bill if you book your wedding cake with us) for all consultations/tastings. Consultations are done for orders of 75 servings or more and are by appointment only. For consultations and tastings, we ask that you limit your party to four (4) people including yourself.
*Additional parties is at an added fee.
-Do you deliver?
All wedding cakes get delivered by Moyofore. All you need to do is enjoy your day and your cake.
-Do you require a deposit?
For weddings and/or larger events we require a non-refundable $100 “save-the-date” deposit. This holds your date on my calendar (because weddings are often booked months in advance vs weeks) and that amount does apply to your order. After the order is finalized, we write a contract with the total order amount. At that time, we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of your total and the final 50% (minus the $100 “save-the-date” deposit) must be paid 3 weeks prior to the wedding date. Many people choose to use PayPal or Zelle for convenience. We also accept cash.
-What happens if you can’t provide the cake on the day?
In the very unlikely event of severe medical, natural, or other emergencies, it may be necessary to retain an alternative Cake Designer. O’real Bakery LLC will make every effort to secure a replacement cake designer able and/or willing to provide similar products and services as chosen in this contract at the same/similar tariff. If such a situation should occur and a suitable replacement is not found, responsibility and liability are limited to the return of all payments received (minus booking fee) for the event.
-Do you hire cake stands?
Yes, we provide an additional item (stand, separator, base) for hire at an additional cost based on which cake stand goes well with your cake design.
